Anti Semitic and Anti State Parties in Europe
Anti semitic and anti state parties emerged around the 18 eighties, 18 seventies in europe. These parties tapped into a kind of popularism that was kept restrained under the rule of the aristocracy. And because jewish people were viewed as being international, having no direct association with any state in any neat way. So too did many of these parties see themselves wanting to move beyond the state in order to match and to meet that perceived threat, that anti state threat, that they saw in the jewish people.
