Al: My wife and I are both over 65 were retired. Al says, my wife's social security benefit will be slightly less than 50% of mine. Less than $200 difference there. Original plan was to lay both of ours until age 70 as the income won't be a make or break for us. Now, I'm wondering if she should take her benefit at full retirement age, then switch to the spousal benefit when I take my social security at age 70.
