The Cost of Maternal Health Care in the US

The U.S. spends about $111 billion a year on maternal health care in the US, which is much higher than other industrialized nations. The country also has some of the worst rates of maternal mortality and adverse outcomes among pure countries. "There are so many different ways to approach that question," says author David Frum.
