Many people have tried out buddhism and found themselves rather dissatisfied by the whole affair. It's useful to beware that each stage provides a set of payoffs that are powerfully seductive, both emotionally and mentally. Em it's very difficult to carry out one of these stage transitions on your own. You need the support of a social and cultural group that m is. And during this transition, you may not operate very well in either stage three or stage four mode. So yor the system has to challenge stage three functioning. Then when somebody starts moving from stage 3 to stage four, this is a process that takes several years, and you screw up a lot,. inevitably.
