The Beaumonts and the McKays
Arthur Brown was considered a suspect for both crimes. He died in 2004, legally as an innocent man. In May 2004, convicted child killer Derek Ernest Percy was named as yet another potential suspect in the Beaumont case. Police suspected Percy could have been involved in up to nine unsolved crimes related to missing all murdered children throughout Australia during the 60s. A collection of personal diaries and drawings written and illustrated by Percy detailed disturbing torture fantasies that bore striking similarities to real crimes committed against children prior to his arrest. The reliability of Percy's claims was one of contention, given the fact he had been deemed legally insane. Even if Percy's memory was correct, he was just 17 years
