The Convergence of Local Strategies to Disparate Problems
I was just going to say that I think there's something worth clarifying about the difference. The New Jim Crow view is more like convergence toward an incarceration strategy as opposed to a strategy that came first for racial control and then incarceration follows. So I think they're coming from different directions is my interpretation. That's awful. We say the police are the only ones that are mobilized. Are the only state institution mobilized to quote, like do something about this disorder and doing something about it?
