Is This Your First Book?

I was just so excited to learn about you and your life. I can't believe how much I highlighted, how many sticky notes I put in it. It's a really special book. You write so movingly about growing up when you were nine years old that's when you boarded a plane from Somalia to England. As an adult writing this book as an adult reflecting back on all of this I thought my god it was mad. But actually back then there was no way of really computing that because it was remarkably unremarkable. And so it's about sort of seeing things in their own lives in their own context and appreciating the good parts while trying to jettison the bad stuff.
