Clothes of the Maluca Islands
The clove tree is an evergreen, 15 to 30 feet high. It has a thin smooth bark and it tears closely to the wood. The flowers grow in small bunches at the extremities of the boughs. All are of a delicate purplish colour. Cloves can also be sold as secondary products such as stalks or mother cloves.
