"I didn't do any homework. I think I still could have got a jobs along the way," he said. "We interviewed it was, it was fun." He went to see Bill Parcells about doing both jobs: coach and general manager. After being fired by Don Maloney in December of that year, there was a public race between him and Darcy Reggear for the GM job. It turned out okay; we got first round picking Kenny Johnson. But then hockey came back on and I became an analyst ... In June, darn, Maloney asked me if I'd be interested in coming back as coach.
