You grew up with a Polish grandmother and your parents were in their 60s when you were in high school. You lived in a Mexican neighborhood and went mostly to an all-black high school. What was the first music you were really interested in playing? Rock and roll because that was what my brothers were really into. But our family liked all kinds of music, so it was a pretty healthy mix.
