CHAPTER

How to Predict Who Will Exchange Numbers With Whom

We're giving off these signals and taking in information without even being aware of it at a conscious level. It's as if we have these machines in our head that are very ancient, that are programmed to make decisions very quickly based on context but it's not conscious deliberation. You can then pick up on that to be able to understand better what sort of things people will do. Now social physics is taking that to the next scale saying well look if people have these patterns of interaction then how do groups of people make decisions about what's the norm? How do new groups interact with old groups, so on and so forth.
