The Calvinist's Interpretation of Romans One

The point of Romans one is that as long as you're breathing, you've got enough to believe. Your character, like your nature, is either something you can affect or it's something that's affected by and caused by someone else, i.e. God. On Calvinism, the nature is ultimately determined by God in every circumstance. And so you ultimately have no more control over the content of your character than you do the color of your skin or your eyes or your hair,. Or whether your hair turns loose or turns gray, like mine is doing apparently both.
