What Does Promising Mean?
In the experiment, indeed, you don't make any choices. The real choice that doesn't occur in the experiment is the choice wide around of possibilities. In order to be able to promise something and to stand for it, you must be free to actually follow through on your promise. If you're not free, there's no way in which you can guarantee that. You understand that? That means it's a self-conded action, right?
