Dinosaurs in the Australian Outback
The Maraxes Gigas belonged to a Therapod family that includes other famous carnivores like Giganotosaurus and Carcarradontosaurus. The teeth were found near the town of Wynton in western Queensland about 96 million years ago. It's not the first time dinosaur remains have been found in that area, but fossils from dinosaur heads are very rare.
