Lark is a bit of an odd fixture here. Let's look around for a moment. We have all these wannabe callous sophisticated. So we have all these people trying to be somebody. Most of the people who are here are here early for the show. Many of them are here because they're attempting to hook up. Everyone is projecting some veneer of urban sophistication, even though the town of stationery hilly is far from urban and definitely far removed from sophistication. With her handmade rustic costume, her hat, her boots, she's spattered with oil. Her coating of red dust. She closes her eyes in momentary pleasure, letting herself enjoy the drink
