Is the Life Cycle of Data Engineering Going Away?

I wouldn't be surprised the practice of data engineering evolved into something else. I don't think it's going to go away, but it might look a lot different in five to ten years. There is a shift more for a data mesh, but you still have these different stages. The undercurrents are fairly immutable as well like security and configuration or registration.
