Ordo liberalism originated in germany. It's called ordo because it was the name of a journal that they began publishing after the second world war, and is an important source of ever shifting academic insights. The geneva school ne liberals were claiming that their project was one depoliticizing the world economy. They were also very explicit about the structures and systems and institutions that needed to be built to create this,. purportedly, but not really, depoliticized global economic system.
