The Vital Question, Am as Promised or Threatened?

The author of a new book on the origin of life, explains why he thinks it's so complex. He says there are two questions that need to be asked: how did these cells come into being and what is their energy transfer mechanism? The answer lies in this question 'why' they're all powered by different types of proton gradients across membranes. And if you look at our own mind as one such cell, then we can also see similarities between ourselves and other creatures around us. So i'm going to try to give my interpretation of some of the main points made in the book. I'll end with an excerpt from the first chapter which will help people understand more about his theory
