Introduction
The high middle ages were a time when the climate in europe was almost as warm as it is now, by comparison. The peace and truce of god movement that began in the late nine hundreds set up rules and restrictions on when nobles could fight and whom they could attack. So all these shifts a create an environment and set the stage for a period of much greater stability, a prosperity and cultural flourishing.
