The Pain of Recovering From a Missionary's Disappointment

My son could have gone on a mission. It was excused by the church. They had a very nice military clause, but it didn't really excuse it from church members' minds and even in our heart and head. And he started making me realize how often in our church we either answer a question in Sunday school with when I was on my mission or everybody in Sunday school class if you've been on a mission raise your hand. He says, I feel like a B student, B minus at best In church. And I'm an A student. I'm in medical school. I'm an accomplishing person. But there's some things you just don't get over in the church
