Are Performance Reviews Based on Output?
I've also seen, and I'm wondering what your thought is on this, that people write down goals and even in performance reviews, then judge those goals. But those goals are more based on output. So when I see some people really focus on output, for example, three block posts a year, or X amount of things a year, and use that for a performance review, I think that's not a great way of doing it. You should inspire the people that you're with or the people that are in your team to do their best. And then whatever output comes out of that, first of all, it's going to be their output.
