The Preterist View of Jesus' Teachings

The Preterist wants to solve the problem of the delay of the paroussia by saying that all of these events predicted by Jesus did take place within the lifetime of his hearers. But I have to confess that after thinking about it and with all the best will in the world, I'm just not persuaded that this is the correct interpretation of Jesus' teachings. Next time, we'll look in greater detail at exactly why I claim that this is so and what ways it is problematic.
