The Life of a Russian Painter
Mihalo shachenko had a conflict with one of the officers, and that officer reported that chechen continued to paint and continue to write. And when it was discovered that chenka indeed wrote letters to his friends, fortunately, his poems were not found. He was sent to a small fortress, very remote. And he spent about seven years there. During these years from 18 51 to 57, he didn't write any poems at all. But he wrote some prose works in russian fcourse, it wasn't possible to publish something in ukraniun those days.
