Is Reader Response a Part of the Bible Study Group?

I think with the Bible, people do it that way because they understand it to be God's word. And if you read any book from the ancient world, of course, you want to know when the author was living and what his context was. That's how you read books. And so if God inspired books, I just think that people should read them as books. To understand the book, you really have to learn that kind of material.
