The skies above London are now dotted with Baraj Baloons day and night. Many meadows still look innocent as they did before the war, but conceal secret weapons of defence. Kamafla's buildings all over the country are commonplace. 40 languages over 230 hours a week to the four quarters of the world. From December 1940, four bulletins a week in Farsi for the Persian service. In wartime, radio was a lifeline. When listening was a crime under Nazi occupation, people hid themselves away in secret with their radios.
