Where Does Oil Belong in the Climate Negotiations?
COP 28 is only the second time in nearly three decades that a COP meeting is happening in an economy that is highly dependent on income from oil and gas. The UAE, one of the largest oil producers in the world, won the bid to host this year's event. For the UAE to get there, they also had to set a net zero goal by 2050 to show that they are serious.
