Tony morrison writes that the act of imagination is bound up with memory. She remembers how the mississippi river wish straightened to make room for houses and for livable conditions. Morris and rihte's black people dreamed of an the world. These told the story of hope, of those trying to get back to where they were. They dreamed of a day where our souls, the souls of black folk, could rest with god and ancestors.
