Is the Queensland Trial Net Benefit?
Net benefits important, but it isn't the only question. What is being put in place to insure that this programme operates accountably? Are we measuring things like the any increased impact on minority populations? Is all the benefit harm analysis being done behind closed doors and without sufficient evidence? If we ar serious about accountability, fairness, transparency and all the other ethical principles, we should be able to make sure that they happen,. even for programs that otherwise have a net benefit.
