The Indictment of Donald Trump
Santis: The latest indictment is an entirely self-inflicted wound. Trump had every chance to just do the easy thing and comply with the request to return these documents. Instead he lied to the people around him, uh, basically, excuse me, asked them to lie for him. He played this weird game with the national archives where after about a year of asking, they, that's when they asked the DOJ to get involved. And behind the scenes, Trump is telling his lawyers and his spokespeople to lie by saying that we've returned all the documents. There's nothing left. But I think the answer to that question is it doesn't matter why he does it. What matters
