I think we sometimes marginalize our own struggles in the way we talk about them. We fail to muscularly defend both these individuals but also American ideals. Can you find me someone braver than some 14 year old trans or non-binary kid? I don't know people who are defending freedom as militantly as all the women who've risen up since the Dobbs decision. It seems quite clear to me that they are marshalling a freedom movement of a kind we have not seen in decades. Why is the right so afraid of brave young people? What is it about bravery that makes the right so quaking its boots? This is the kind of reframing that I'm interested in
