The Salutation to the Three Jewels: Sanger Day
The salutation to the sanger says that this is what the hearers of the voice of enlightenment are like, they follow these epithets. And because we're proceeding in this way, we can give each other worship and gifts and hospitality and greetings. That's one of the best ways to be noble, treat each other nobly, as if we were part of the noble sanger. So this is going for refuge, the special Buddhist term that means commitment or giving priority to something.
