You can program a machine to think it's unhappy. What the gogla tells us that it can feel unhappy. There's no compelling reason for an ai to act like a human,. unless it's built to keep you company, i suppose that would be an exception. It's all a bad idea, and we should stop it immediately - ecause there's no way that doesn't end bad.
