It's an old sketchbook. Some of it doesn't actually take place in the novel but this was a sort of left to right tool diagram that helped me sort of work out the order of the novel. So you're just flicking through it now and I can see it there for example. There's something very kind of stimulating about that but it's just really useful when I'm trying to compose a novel. And there's that moment isn't there where the story starts telling itself to you?
