"The trend following guys are only price action focused. I can look at something and say, wow, we're going to have a miserable month because this thing is about to drop 20%," he says. "A lot of trends just are volatile"; oil rallied in almost a straight line from negative to 130; then it broke down. He adds: "I don't mind just playing through it. And like I said, I'm not playing front month."
