The Uncomfortable Aspects of Indian History

A lot of our textbook includes Mughal and we kind of know a lot of Mughal leaders, but not other leaders. Why do you feel like there's a reason that we just read so much about the Mughals? So, I think, particularly after independence, the education system itself was in the hands of several people who wanted to avoid uncomfortable aspects of Indian history. This country was partitioned on communal lines and the violence, the bloodshed that followed with so many, you know, lakhs and lakhs of people were displaced, lost their lives. There was an animosity towards a particular community because that was the basis for the partition of India.
