What does machiavelli and strausss give of us who aren't just interested in this assent to the peak of human life that we call philosophy? You have your piece on spiritual warfare. Maybe yo want to elaborate some of the views that you articulated there. What is atd for people who want a political solution, as opposed transcending humanism in the direction of magnanimity, as stross puts it? Or in other words, think that all our political problems stem from turning our back on philosophy? Obviously, not everybody would share that view, but incidentally, that's my, to a certan extent, how i think stross views our current predicament.
