How Did Your Dad Survive?

I'm curious what your childhood was like. Did it feel like a struggle? Or were you guys, did your parents sort of evoke feelings of like joy and simply out of the simplicity of like trying to just make ends meet or was it heavy? We had very, very humble beginnings. At that time, like, we didn't have new toys or any cool things that we got to play with. Like we actually literally played in the yard or like outside or made, make shift things. Dad did the gas station stuff and then pizza delivery guy. That's how he kind of learned is like broken English.
