The Benefits of Breadth

If maths is a sense, then it's just really hard to memorize all this stuff. But if you see it as a system of interconnected sense, then that's just different. Everything becomes very easy to remember. You become much more flexible in your thinking,. So, I also think very much that's true of chemistry. Chemistry is actually a better example, because most of the time it's taught as these disconnected random things. It really does help them because it organizes things for them in a way that they can actually properly understand. One of the benefits of trying to apply 10 or 15 disciplines to thinking about education is that it tests your theories at the extremes.
