Is Fermi Estimation Really Important?
Randall Monroe: I like encouraging people to understand that it's okay if you don't know the answers to things. It's possible to figure them out. Like how many angels can dance on the head of a pin? Is a hot dog a sandwich? You know, these questions you might be able to come up with answers in one way or another. He says he likes moving some things from the realm of frustrating semantic arguments to cool facts about the universe.
