Traveller Ethnogenesis
There seems to be a sort of intermixed spectrum of cale and non cale travellers in wales. There also has arisen, since the nineteenth centuryA distinct sub culture of so called showmen or show people. And it's possible that we're actually seeing a similar kind of ethnogenesis at work. It may be the same kind of thing that gave rise to the distinct traveller ethnic group in ireland. That may be happening as we speak among these showmen in britain. Maybe these fun fares simply fade out as they are replaced by home entertainment.
