The Doctrine of Analogies
The doctrine of analogy has some very serious problems tat its ponents don't typically notice or acknowledge. If i if you've never seen a photograph before, youre going to have no sense whatsoeveriave of tr it. Try to just articulate the way in which a photograph resembles the person photographed aslle really, really difficult. We get at god and our language about god, i'm only through the imperfect, fragmentary things that are around us. That's the language that we have.
