Until the late 1990s, a train of four ratio of.7 at the adductor polisis muscle was considered to represent clinically acceptable recovery from non-depolarizing neuromuscular block. But in the early mid 1990s, people started looking at other aspects of patient function and began to realize it wasn't what we ought to be looking for. Dr. Todd: Small degrees of residual paralysis or inadequate reversal seems to be associated with very meaningful degrees of neuromus muscular malfunction.
