All who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. It's for our good and his glory. Satan also has a purpose for it. His purpose is to silence us. If we are silenced, we are collaborating with the enemy. equipping disciples to suffer well is a critical part of disciple making. There are lots of specific things that are benefits that can accrue to us because of suffering.
