Heraclitus and the Riddle

The riddle often features in mystic teachings as well. Heraclitus and the Pythagoreans are no doubt doing very, very different things with their mystic opposites. But I suspect a common cultural source here, not that I can prove anything. In fact we shall be devoting a whole episode to the fascinating term, anigma, in the weeks to come.
