The Constitution of France

The French constitution of 18 o one was a declaration of independence for France. The governor had the right to censor the press at his discretion. He could hire and fire every military or government officer. If he suspected you of sedition, you wouldn't even go to the regular courts. You would face a special military tribunal directly controlled by him.
