David Bianculli: The idea that maybe this wasn't a cult, that this was just part of mainstream Christianity is scarier than like a branch-dividian type thing because everyone just accepts it. He says the word 'cult' began to apply the instant that you went deeper into the movement. "The culture here is really weirdly intense and off," he says.
