How to Manage Expectations as a Photographer
I love the idea of being a cinematographer on a film or something creative where you are just asked to focus on the visual side of things. But when clients ask photographers to shoot video, there's quite often none of that hierarchy. So all of those responsibilities then come back on the photographer. And that's where mistakes can be made because you're suddenly having to wear a lot of different hats. That can mean that you're not going to be as focused. I would probably get a DOP in to shoot the video and direct the video side of things myself, which is a shame because I really enjoy shooting video as a DOP.
