The Forces of Reaction in San Francisco
San Francisco was the place to be gay in the 50s. The beat generation had been pretty openly pro-gay and or written about how great gay sex is all the time. Some parents got freaked out that their daughters were going to Tommy's place and getting involved in the Butch in FEM culture. On September 8, 1954, the SFPD raid Tommy's place in 12 Adler Place on charges around drugs. A heroin kit was found. People claim it was planted. I literally don't know her care.
