Do You Know What Shards Are?

We know what shards are. We've got all 16 of those explained. Can we kind of give a definition, or help understand the different forces that exist because of shards? What i'm referencing specifically is the difference between shards, slivers and splinters. Can you help us understand? And nice we have the driving force of the cosmer back story, which is odium. So it's like odium to the max, exactly. That force of odium is going throughout the cosmer, trying to destroy all of the other shards. Some he has been successful at a and not just destroying the shards themselves, but destroying the vessel, killing the vessel. I don't know if
