In order for churches to be a safe place for women, they need to be cultures of empathy. Tove Jenson: To resist a fear culture, to create a safe space for women would be grace. She says Yom Kapoor is the Hebrew for the Day of Atonement; it's supposed to help people confess their sins but many don't do that.
